Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Biolab Founder and CEO, Dr. Amid Abdelnour and CEO of Georgia Healthcare Group (GHG), Nikoloz Gamkrelidze launched Mega Laboratory that is part of GHG and is considered the largest diagnostic laboratory in Georgia and the Caucasus region.
Through this unique partnership, Biolab, the Kingdom’s leading diagnostic laboratory that is accredited by four international bodies, will extend its technical and management support to this large laboratory, transferring its IT expertise and advanced e-medical platform to Georgia.
This step will allow Biolab to compete with many international laboratories and achieve an unprecedented Jordanian victory. The multi-disciplinary laboratory, equipped with the most up-to-date infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment, covers 7,500 square meters.
High-capacity automated systems will enable Megalabto provide accurate, high quality results for the country’s whole population. Biolab will utilize its advanced e-medical platform that was developed in Jordan in Megalab to connect patients’ medical records across the country and connect all branches under one platform.
Within the framework of this partnership, Biolab’s Jordanian team will provide technical, scientific and training assistance to Megalab in an aim to accredit this central laboratory by renowned international accreditation bodies.

Along with its ISO15189 certification provided by the Jordanian Accreditation System (JAS) for quality health services, Biolab’s medical diagnostic services are accredited by the Jordanian Ministry of Health, the Joint Commission International (JCI),and the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
Biolab has recently obtained accreditation from the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) and has now become the only stand-alone laboratory in the region that is endorsed byfour international accreditation bodies.
