5-Hydroxytryptophan, Plasma


Reference Range

5-Hydroxytryptophan is derived from the amino acid tryptophan and is the immediate precursor to serotonin, an important neurotransmitter and plays a role in the regulation of sleep, depression, anxiety, insomnia, aggression, sexual behavior, and pain sensation.
