Founder and CEO
Dr. Amid Abdelnour is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Biolab. He has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of Histocompatibility, Immunogenetics, and Human Immunology. Dr. Abdelnour obtained his B.Sc in Biological Sciences from the University of Jordan. He then specialized in Immunology where he received a Master’s degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a PhD. in Immunology from the University of Bristol, UK.
Dr. Abdelnour has started his career with the Royal Medical Services of Jordan's Armed Forces; he headed the Immunology Department for four years. In 1991, Dr. Abdelnour established his first laboratory in the private sector and soon after; he founded and co-partnered Medlabs Consultancy Group. For seven years, Dr. Abdelnour has acted as Head of the Laboratory Department and Acting Hospital Administrator at the Arab Medical Center. During his service at the hospital, he established and managed the IVF unit and introduced several advanced techniques in the field of reproductive medicine.
In 2001, Dr. Abdelnour established Biolab that has expanded and flourished to become a chain of specialized laboratories with emphasis on Genetics, Cytogenetics, and Immunology. Dr. Abdelnour is an executive member of the Jordanian Society for Fertility and Genetics and a board member of Injaz.
The Scientists
Biolab hires well-trained, highly specialized medical and nationally and internationally recognized technologists and scientists with superior expertise and academic degrees from renowned universities. They have significant contributions in research and development, while their work creates a unique environment characterized by professionalism, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The team of scientists and technologists support the medical community by providing consultations in different laboratory medicine areas, including Diagnostic problem solving, Clinical interpretation of test results in Molecular diagnostics, Cytogenetics, Histopathology and Cytology.
