This mobile application is operated by biolab. Throughout the application, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to biolab. biolab offers this mobile application, including all information, tools and services available from this application to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our mobile application, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the mobile application, including without limitation users who are browsers, customers, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our mobile application. By accessing or using any part of the mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the mobile application or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

 We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the mobile application following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

We respect your right to privacy and comply with our obligations. The purpose of this Mobile Application Privacy Policy is to outline how we deal with any personal data you provide to us while visiting this mobile application. Naturally, if you are not happy with this Mobile Application Privacy Policy you should not use this mobile application.

By visiting this mobile application, you are accepting the terms of this Website Privacy Policy. Any external links to other websites or mobile application are clearly identifiable as such, and we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these other websites and mobile applications.

Types of Information Collected

We retain two types of information:

"Personal Data"

This is data that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you and may include your:

  • Name.
  • Birth date.
  • Telephone number.
  • Address.
  • Email address.
  • Location (this will be used to locate the closest biolab branch to your current location, in addition, upon using our house call service, your location will serve the purpose of completing the sample collection).
  • User IP addresses in circumstances where they have not been deleted, clipped or anonymised.
  • National ID/Passport (national ID number or Passport number).
  • Billing and credit card information. Such information is only collected from you if you voluntarily submit it to us.
  • Your laboratory results (when they are downloaded/ viewed for easier use).
  • NOTE: the user is held accountable for sharing any personal data and password (OTP and permanent) with others. biolab is not responsible for any loss, damage or disclosure of personal data due to the misuse of the application.

Access to your camera will be requested should you voluntarily approve it for the following purposes;

  • Personalizing the mobile application by adding your profile picture.
  • For completing fast track insurance information cycle (NOTE, access to the camera is mandatory for the use of this service in collaboration with insurance company policies).
  • For completing house call service information cycle (NOTE, access to the camera is not mandatory for the use of this service unless it is a house call service for an insured patient(s) in collaboration with insurance company policies).
  • For identity verification purposes (NOTE, manual entry is also applicable should you not access the camera).
  • For billing purposes (NOTE, manual entry is also applicable should you not access the camera).

"Non-Personal Data"

Like most mobile applications, we gather statistical and other analytical information collected on an aggregate basis of all visitors to our mobile application. This Non-Personal Data comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic information regarding, for example, user IP addresses where they have been clipped or anonymised, mobile operating system(s) and geographic location and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of our mobile application.

Purposes for which we hold your Information

Non-Personal Data:

We use the Non-Personal Data gathered from visitors to our mobile application in an aggregate form to get a better understanding of where our visitors come from and to help us better design and organize our mobile application.

Personal Data

We will process any Personal Data you provide to us for the following purposes:

(a) to provide you with the goods or services you have ordered

(b) to contact you if required in connection with your order or to respond to any communications you might send to us

(c) to send you further information about services that you buy from us

Sale of Business

We reserve the right to transfer information (including your Personal Data) to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of our company provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of the Mobile Application Privacy Policy and provided that the third party only uses your Personal Data for the purposes that you provided it to us. You will be notified in the event of any such transfer and you will be afforded an opportunity to opt-out.

Accuracy of billing and account information

In order to operate biolab online-payments system, we may collect and store personal information you submit to it via this online-payments system. This online-payment system is provided and hosted by biolab and its third party suppliers; Hyper pay- through a software development kit- SDK. By submitting your personal information, you are consenting to Hyper pay holding and using it in accordance with this policy while biolab is not responsible for the information put through Hyper pay. The policy is subject to change and any changes to it in the future will be notified on the website. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. Online payments refund is not possible. By continuing to use this payment system you are agreeing to such changes. We recommend that you check the privacy policy each time you visit the biolab website.

Pricing:

The pricing of all services presented in the biolab mobile application are in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Health in Jordan. For the online-payment service, the amount due shall be the same amount presented in the receipt provided at the time of making the checks at any of biolab laboratories. The same due amount shall also be presented to the customer on the mobile application prior to making the payment.

Refund/Cancellation policy:

Our policy does not offer refunds for medical services rendered since the check results will be displayed instantly after completing the payment.

Information Security Policy

The information asset’s secured availability, integrity, confidentiality and accountability are essential to maintain biolab’s security compliance, and organization image. Biolab acknowledges the importance of ensuring information security and is committed towards supporting the information security goals and principles.

Information security is the protection of data resources against loss arising from breaches of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. It should not be seen as preventative or restrictive of business operations, but rather as an enabling mechanism for sharing information safely.

Information security protects information from a wide range of threats in order to ensure business continuity, minimize business damage impact, and maximize return of investments and business opportunities.

Information security is achieved by implementing a suitable set of controls, by way of enacting policies, adopting best practices, procedures, organization structure, and software functions. These controls need to be established to ensure the specific security objectives of biolab are met. The objective of the Information Security Management System is to protect information assets and services provided by biolab to users internally and externally, in addition to:

Protect biolab’s business information and any client or customer information within its custody or safekeeping by safeguarding its confidentiality, integrity and availability.

To establish safeguards to protect biolab’s information resources from theft, abuse, misuse and any form of damage.

To establish the culture of responsibility and accountability for information security in biolab.

To encourage management and staff to maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and skill allowing them to minimize the occurrence and severity of information security incidents.

To ensure that biolab is able to continue its commercial activities in the event of significant information security incidents.

To continually strengthen and improve the overall capabilities of the information security management system.

To increase professional skills in terms of information security management and technology.

To ensure that critical information-related business operations continue to be carried out in line with best security practices and standards and to establish suitable operation plans for business that are cost effective.

To establish quantified information security goals annually through setting objectives, measurements, and KPI that are monitored by biolab top management during annual review meetings.

Updating, Verifying and Deleting Personal Data

You may inform us of any changes in your Personal Data, and in accordance with our obligations we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly. To find out what Personal Data we hold on you or to have your Personal Data updated, amended or removed from our database, please email us with a request.

Changes to the Mobile Application Privacy Policy

Any changes to this Mobile Application Privacy Policy will be posted on the biolab website so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any time we decide to use Personal Data in a manner significantly different from that stated in this Mobile Application Privacy Policy, or otherwise disclosed to you at the time it was collected, we will notify you by email, and you will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in a new manner.
