Janini

Janini is a non-invasive prenatal test that screens for the most common fetal “trisomy” conditions; Down Syndrome (chr.21), Edwards Syndrome (chr. 18), Patau Syndrome (chr. 13) and Gender of the fetus.

Fast:
Results are available within 10 working days.

Safe:
Non-invasive; no risk of miscarriage.

Simple:
Test only requires a small sample of maternal blood as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Accurate: 
High specificity and sensitivity in the detection of trisomy conditions notably Down Syndrome.

Janini test Cannot be performed for the following categories : 
  • Women who are less than 10 weeks  pregnant.
  • Women with Chromosomal abnormalities
  • Women who have undergone one of the following treatments in the last 4 months : Blood Transfusion, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Therapy, Transplantation and Radiation Therapy.
